Forethought
A 6'1 transfemme former school athlete, Katie prefers a goth sense of style, confounding metal songs, and LARPing. She's a firm believer in the supernatural, which both benefits and kneecaps her in certain regards, especially pertaining to the haunted house she has just moved into. She's the fiery, quick to judge counterpart to her twin brother Seth, who was mellow even before the depression he's grappling with in the wake of their parents' death.

Also 6'1 and also a former school athlete, Seth is troubled and depressed in the wake of the loss of his parents and an HIV+ diagnosis (passed along by someone he should have been able to trust). He doesn't play his instruments the way he used to, even the antique piano he inherited from his mom, preferring to sleep and stay locked inside his bedroom. He does not believe in ghosts, which is, of course, why he ended up being the one most haunted by one.

About the size of a small barge, Ben is a disabled former marine whose past is unspoken of. He is the long-lost older brother of Katie and Seth, their collective mother having given him up for adoption when she was sixteen. Several years ago, he purchased a dilapidated house in Echo Creek and has been renovating it since. He's unsure how to handle being the guardian to two seventeen-year-olds, but he's trying his best. He does not believe in the supernatural, but does believe in respecting old shit.

Being Stuck
A ghost that only Seth can see, Jesse has been attached to Ben's house for seven years. In an effort to get attention, he breaks whatever he can, particularly mugs and teacups. Now that he has Seth's attention, he's been learning more about the century he's woken up in. He's learned that he likes the idea of hair dye and punk clothes. He's not sure why he's missing one shoe, or why he can remember his mother and nothing else.

Witch and son to a witch, Avery helps work at his mom's metaphysical shop in Echo Creek proper. (Hint: it's actual witch stuff). He's an artist who loves taking found objects from around the mountain and making them into art, from beer cans to antique bottles. He's been in a relationship with his girlfriend Hayley for quite some time, but they have their collective eyes on a certain sword-collecting mischief maker.

Descended from a long line of witches, Evelyn runs the metaphysical shop in town. She also happens to be Ben's best friend, something that happened because she decided not to leave him alone -- that house of his has always had weird energy, and it's only getting weirder. She's also a widow and single mother to her son, Avery. Mama Bear is understating the situation.
