Things to Expect on Patreon

I started my Patreon at the height of my Tiktok usage, and the platform was mostly for queer book recs and a discord channel. Tiktok used to be somewhat of a hyperfixation for me, but it slowly ebbed as the platform made changes that were frustrating enough for me to post less.

Now, I share pieces on Patreon -- both writing and illustration -- that are either pieces patrons see far before anyone else, or things that only patrons are likely to see period. For example, the context for this image:

This is a Common Strange Behavior AU, which does have a 20k piece of writing that goes along with it. Other pieces include extras surrounding the TTP universe, such as Garrett coming out to Grayson, or Matt meeting his estranged sister Annie while Gemma is filming for Small Town, Big Talent. I have plans to share some further points of view and future snippets on Patreon as well, since I doubt they'll make it to published status, but it's nice to share them someplace.

I know I only have one or two people who read this blog, but I've found it's nice for explaining my creative process or mindset, as well as conveying practical information like this.

I have a Patreon, I post things only patrons will ever see, and a non-zero amount of times, my patrons have made the difference between whether or not I have lunch to eat at work. It's a nice little side project and a place I'm trying to utilize more often.
