One of the two protagonists of Train Track Princes, Evergreen Cutler is the pansexual, Jewish son of a single mom. With his powers of ADHD, he is capable of creating many things, but knitting is his favorite. He doesn't think much about what he's doing before he's doing it, and therein lies the problem. His stuffy ex-best friend Garrett has the exact opposite problem. There's a whole book addressing this problem.

He is dyslexic, grew up with a speech impediment that sometimes resurfaces, and has been diagnosed with depression. He knows that all of this means that he's doomed to disappoint his parents. He believes this is a reason for an end, but discovers there's much more waiting for him on the other side of the semicolon.

Pregnant at 19 and a mother at 20, Cindy is Evergreen's mother. She works two jobs to keep their mobile home and 2004 Honda Civic, but outside of this, Cindy enjoys tarot and astrology. She herself will tell you that being an Aquarius informs much of her life. More than anything else in her life, Cindy loves her son. She would fistfight so many people if it meant protecting those she loves.

They are a theater kid with a penchant for dancing, and they tend to float between friend groups without settling down. They live on a ranch outside town with a number of animals.
